When I decided to start a flower farm, peonies were a natural focus. While we grow other seasonal flowers on our farm and sell them locally, peonies are uniquely well-suited for shipping and storing, which makes them the perfect flower to share beyond our local area.

They may arrive a little tired after their journey, but snip an inch or two off the stems and place them in cool water to watch them revive and begin to open. Because our peonies are cut to order and shipped quickly, they offer exceptional freshness, fragrance, and beauty—straight from the farm, without the long supply chain.

A New Season

Less Screen Time, More Field Time

After 20 years working as a graphic designer, I was ready for less screen time and more field time. This peony farm is the beginning of that dream. It’s not full-time yet, but I’m building it one season at a time—learning, growing, and grateful for every person who follows along and supports this small farm as it takes shape.

Early Season Peonies

Thanks to our North Carolina growing season, we often begin blooming earlier than the larger peony farms farther north, which means we’re able to offer some of the season’s first farm-fresh peonies. It’s a short, beautiful window, and one of the things that makes our blooms so special.

A Hands-On Approach

We grow our peonies with care and take a hands-on approach in the field, including hand weeding rather than spraying weeds away. We also remove side buds to encourage the big, beautiful blooms peonies are known for.

Bloom & Ink Notecard Collection

Because no beautiful bloom should go to waste, when we have extra flowers after harvest, we press and hammer them by hand to capture their natural pigment and shape, then add pen-and-ink details to complete each design. The original artwork is then transformed into high-quality printed folded notecards—grown with love and artfully crafted.
